For just fries, sauces and dessert this place kills it. The fries are amazing solo but even better with garlic mayo or truffle ketchup. I could drink that stuff and never get sick of it. Hers a brewery next door they share the space with.

Most people come to Portland for the lighthouses, working waterfront, and New England charm. We come for the fries. We dream about our yearly pilgrimage to duckfat. This year we decided to try the frites shack rather than the restaurant. It’s a unique atmosphere with a brewery and plenty of seating (mostly indoor). Parking can be a bit tricky, but don’t let it deter you. Also, don’t miss the menu list between the takeout and pickup window, it’s easy to get distracted by the larger sized menu with frites and shakes. On this trip we enjoyed both flavored wings, several shakes, a pup cup, and frites. I highly recommend getting the sauce flight. Each combination is unique and delicious, but our favorite might be the Thai Mayo!

Stopped by the original and just wasn’t up for the wait (which was a totally normal 1 hr 45 minutes). After hostess suggested the frites spinoff we drove over. Maybe it’s normally a lovely walk but it was raining and there was some gnarly road construction between the two. Food was fantastic (as always) but the roomy and inviting brewery location to eat next door was a game changer. We enjoyed the original poutine, lobster roll, smoked pork sandwich (very smoky), donut holes (plus got drinks from the brewery). Highly recommend everything :)

I will visit every single time I’m in Portland. I’m obsessed with these fries. My only “complaint” is how small the sitting area is. Y’all need to/deserve to expand!

Duckfat Frite Shack at Oxbow Brewing is the perfect complement to a great drink. Their fries are crispy, golden perfection, and the dipping sauces take them to the next level. It’s a great setup—order your fries and enjoy them right at the brewery with a beer or another libation. The casual, open-air vibe makes it a fun and easy spot to hang out. A must-visit if you’re at Oxbow!

Well these must be the best fries in all of Portland! Completely delicious. I tried the garlic mayo but will try more of their sauces. I recommend you get at least two btw for the fries. Their chocolate shake meets the "Pulp Fiction 5 Dollar Shake" bar btw so get one of those too! And stupid me thought i'd get home before the box was open....nope, no one could resist so gone in a few minutes in the car ride home...

Great spot to have next to Oxbow for snacks. The fries are always delicious. The donuts are good as well. They have an orange flavor which provides some interesting contrast against their delicious caramel sauce and also helps balance the donuts so they aren't overly sweet. Not the friendliest service but not bad.
